Single Vision Lenses

Spectacle lenses are lenses with a single focus point that are used to correct distance vision, near vision or intermediate vision. Most people under the age of 40 need only a single vision correction.

At Eyeland, we offer a wide range of lenses for single vision users in a wide range of materials and prices. Our Experts will guide you in selecting the appropriate lens to match your lifestyle and needs.
Additionally, at Eyeland we do not charge extra for users needing high power.

Multifocal Lenses

Spectacle lenses with two or more focus points are referred to as multifocal lenses. Most people 40 years and above need the same. Multifocal lenses come in two types – Bifocal lenses and Progressive lenses.

Bifocal Lenses

Bifocal lenses are lenses with two focus points – distance and near vision. In bifocal lenses, the demarcation between two zones is clearly visible. The upper portion of bifocal lenses is used for distance vision and the lower portion is used for near vision (reading purpose).

At Eyeland, we offer bifocal lenses in Round and D-Bifocal designs. These lenses are available in plastic and polycarbonate materials only.

Progressive lenses

Progressive lenses provide continuous vision zones from distance to near including intermediate vision. Progressive lenses have no clear demarcation between the varying zones thus offering a good cosmetic appeal for users. Progressive lenses are also a better option to suit computer usage. They are the best lens choice for users above 40 years of age.

Circle-lense

At Eyeland, we offer a wide range of lenses. Our range offers a choice of designs (regular, regular plus, performance, supreme & supreme plus), materials and prices. Our Experts will guide you in selecting the appropriate lens to match your lifestyle and needs.

MR material

MR material is a special high quality plastic resin and is considered to be one of the best materials for spectacle lenses. (Note: plastic resin based lenses are now considered redundant )

Trivex Material

Trivex lenses offer the highest shatter-resistance compared to all the other lens materials, making it ideal for an active lifestyle.

Polycarbonate Material

Polycarbonate lenses are 25% thinner than regular plastic (CR39 material) lenses and almost 50% lighter than glass lenses.

CR 39 Material Lenses

CR 39 material or regular plastic lens material is thicker than glass and offers high transparency and good visual clarity.
CR 39 material is popular owing to its lightness and shatter resistance as compared to glass lenses.

Mineral / Glass Material Lenses

Glass has excellent optical properties and is highly scratch resistant.
Lenses made of glass tend to be heavy (50% heavier than plastic lenses) and have the least impact resistance making them brittle. Therefore, glass lenses are not widely used nowadays. Glass lenses are 50% heavier than plastic lenses and the least impact resistant.

Aspheric Design Lenses

Aspheric design lenses are flatter, thinner and give lesser distortion than traditional design lenses.
Aspheric lenses are an excellent choice for moderate to high prescription powered lenses.
Usage of Aspheric design lenses reduces the magnified and “bug-eye” effect when worn and increases cosmetic appeal (especially in spectacle wearers with high power).

Water Repellant Coat

Spectacle lenses fog up in cold or humid weather conditions. It occurs due to condensation of moisture on lenses. Fogging can be a safety issue, since it limits one’s ability to see clearly until the fog is cleared up.

Anti-reflective Coat

Spectacle lenses with an Anti reflection coating reduces glare, reflections and halos. This is especially beneficial while using digital screens like computers, laptops, mobile and also while driving at night.

Scratch Resistant Coating

There is no lens material available that is completely scratch proof however, when the lenses are treated with a scratch resistant coating, they become extremely resistant to unwanted scratches.

While some people think tinted lenses are merely for cosmetic purpose, the right tint can enhance vision and makes life hassle free. Tints come in solids, gradients or double gradients and add a unique touch to your lenses.

At Eyeland, we offer tints for most of our spectacle lenses. Tints are available in a wide variety of colours as per your taste.

Photochromatic Lenses

Photo chromatic lenses are spectacle lenses that darken automatically when exposed to sunlight and they return to normal once back indoors. An added benefit is that photo chromatic lenses shield eyes from UVA and UVB rays.
Almost all types of lens materials and designs, including high-index lenses, bifocals and progressive lenses can be added with Photo chromatic variant.
It’s definitely a good idea to consider photo chromatic lenses even for children too as they tend to be outdoors (and thus need good UV protection) and the eyes continue to develop up to the age of 12.
